It's just extremely frustrating that Mercari or USPS seem like they can/will do anything about it.
I realize that I should have gone to the post office and had it scanned in there but with the hours I work at the hospital it is very difficult for me to get there during operating hours. I was able to open a missing package claim after 5 days of no activity and am now 3 days into their "investigation" (which is probably someone looking through a bin of lost packages and then saying oh well after 5 boxes). Granted $275 isn't a ton of money but still it's really frustrating. I've never had an issue and have mailed 100's of packages, but now when the item sold for $275 they decide to lose it. I used a Mercari prepaid shipping label, packaged my item, and dropped it off at my local (blue) drop box. I am going through this exact same scenario as we speak.
